On the morning of March 17, 2020, hundreds of Barbadian athletes, parents and supporters were at the National Stadium for the finals of the National Primary Schools’ Athletics Championships when the news broke of the first two COVID-19 cases on the island.

There were fears the sports might be cancelled, but the show went on. We take a look back at this report by multimedia journalist Anmar Goodridge Boyce.
