A 77-year-old murderer was adamant that the elderly woman he killed had provoked him into stabbing her 14 times.
And when police asked Sylvester Antoine Nelson to explain the provocation, he said the woman had “abused” him and had told him to “go from” her door.
Nelson, a resident of the Vauxhall Senior Citizens Home, pleaded guilty in the No. 5 Supreme Court on Thursday to murdering Martha Doyle, a fellow resident, on January 21, 2019.
Crown Counsel Danielle Mottley accepted the plea and said the prosecution would not be seeking the death penalty. (HLE)
