The Barbados Water Authority completed work on a large-sized main in Fairview, Christ Church, on Monday night.

Work began earlier in the day with the clearing of the very bushy area and identification of the precise location of the burst.

With the repairs completed, the BWA put water back into the distribution network via this main and will monitor the situation closely.

Residents of the St Philip and Christ Church districts affected because of the rupture are asked to note that it may take some time for water levels to return to normal, as the system needs to recharge. (PR/SAT)
