Four new virus cases, six people recover

Barbados recorded four new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Sunday, April 11, while six people recovered.

The new cases, which comprise two men and two women, were identified from the 220 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The number of persons in isolation is 88.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Barbados now stand at 3 734 (1 817 females and 1 917 males), and a total of 3 613 people have recovered.  Forty-four people have died from the viral illness.

To date, the public health laboratory has conducted 146 355 tests.

The number of vaccinations administered as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 is 65 873 – 27 137 men and 38 736 women. (BGIS)
