Nine new virus cases, 11 people recover

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified nine new coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases – four women and five men – on Monday, April 19, from the 494 tests conducted.

Meanwhile, 11 people recovered and were discharged. There are now 87 people in isolation.

Since March 2020, there have been 3 793 confirmed COVID-19 cases (1 844 women and 1 949 men).  A total of 3 692 people have recovered, while 44 people have died from the virus.

The public health laboratory has carried out 149 423 tests since February, last year.

To date, 70 844 vaccinations – 29 244 men and 41 640 women – have been administered as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. (BGIS)
