Fourteen new virus cases, two people recover

Fourteen new cases (seven women and seven men) of coronavirus (COVID-19) were recorded on Thursday, April 22.

They were identified among the 813 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Two people were also discharged. Currently, there are 86 people in isolation.

Since the start of the pandemic, Barbados has recorded 3 820 confirmed cases (1 860 women and 1 960 men) out of the 151 004 tests conducted.

Meanwhile, 3 718 people have recovered from the viral illness. Forty-four deaths have occurred.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, a total of 71 648 people – 29 633 men and 42 015 women – have been vaccinated. (BGIS)
