Impose nothing short of the maximum sentence on the murderers of Private David Nicholas Blenman.

That was the plea of a tearful David Blenman, father of the deceased, in the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday during his victim impact statement. He said if any other punishment was handed down, he would feel as though he himself had been murdered, especially since his son was ripped from his family in such a horrific way.

Jamar Antonio Pile, 30; his sister Faith Angelica Pile, 25; and Faith’s boyfriend Shaquan Sherwin Omar Crichlow, 23, all of Skeete’s Road, Jackmans, St Michael, had pleaded guilty at an earlier session of the Continuous Sittings to the non-capital murder of Blenman, 26, of No. 46 Golden Mile, St Peter, between November 30 and December 1, 2016.

David’s naked body was discovered December 1, 2016, by two people walking along Foul Bay beach, St Philip, where his car was abandoned. The three were able to get $1 000 from his bank account with the pin they procured. (RA)
