Barbadians were eager to treat their mothers like queens yesterday for Mother’s Day.

Last year at this time, COVID-19 prevented people from wining and dining their mothers, but yesterday many of those establishments offering Mother’s Day meals reported they were fully booked.

Operations manager at Bubbas Sports Bar & Restaurant Adrian Jones said they were actually forced to turn people away.

“It’s good to be back. Last year we were all at home. It’s going very well, the response has been great. In fact we’ve had to turn back quite a few people as we can only seat at 50 per cent capacity, so people had to make reservations and those who did not ended up getting turned away,” he said. (CA)
