Four new COVID cases

There were four new positive cases of COVID-19 – one female and three males – reported for Friday, May 14, while one person recovered and was discharged from isolation.

The cases were identified from the 609 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. There are 89 people currently in isolation is 89.

Since March 2020, there were 3, 965 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1 916 females and 2 049 males) and 3 917 recoveries.  Forty-six people died from the virus.

The public health laboratory conducted 162 444 tests.

As part of the National Vaccination Programme, 75 918 people received their first and second doses.  This number includes 42 645 persons who were fully vaccinated against COVID-19 during the second phase of the programme. (BGIS)
