Two new virus cases, five people recover

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded two new positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) – one male and one female – on Saturday, May 15, from the 373 tests conducted.

Five people recovered from the virus and were discharged, while 88 people remain in isolation.

Since March 2020, confirmed COVID-19 cases have moved to 3 967 (1 917 females and 2 050 males). There have been 3 922 recoveries, and 46 people have died.

To date, the public health laboratory has conducted 162 817 tests.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 75 920 people have been immunised (first and second doses). Of these, 42 904 people have been fully vaccinated during the second phase of the programme. (BGIS)
