Minister of Housing and Lands, Dr William Duguid and Member of Parliament for St James South, Sandra Husbands have urged the Barbados Light & Power Company to complete installation on 84 units of the National Housing Corporation in Haynesville, St James.

Duguid and Husbands made the appeal during an update on the near completion of the electrical upgrade programme on 324 units in the area.

Duguid and Husbands said there had already been four or five house fires in recent times, and tenant Ryan Odle said he had suffered two house fires in the space of six months.
