Barbadians and permanent residents are being urged to take advantage of the Immunisation Unit’s open day tomorrow for the second dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

The National Vaccination Programme’s Co-coordinator (Logistics), Major David Clarke, reminded people that they will not be protected against COVID-19 if they don’t get both doses of the vaccine.

The open day will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and people who received their first dose before April 1, this year, are urged to get their second dose before the vaccines, which were received from India, expire at the end of this month.

The venues are: Sandals Conference Centre, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church; the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation, Building No. 2, Harbour Road and the Winston Scott Polyclinic, Jemmotts Lane, both in St Michael, and St Andrew Parish Church, Belleplaine, St Andrew.

Clients are asked to take their blue vaccination cards. (PR)
