Five new virus cases, 41 people in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded five new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), two men and three women, on Saturday, May 29.  They were identified from the 513 tests conducted.

There are currently 41 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4 017 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1 942 females and 2 075 males) since the start of the pandemic.  Forty-seven people have succumbed to the virus.

A total of 170 146 tests have been carried out by the public health laboratory.

Under the National Vaccination Programme, 77 946 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19.  These include 60 443 people 24 847 men and 35 596 women – who have received both doses. (BGIS)
