UPDATE: Police probe shooting at Massiah Street

Lawmen are seeking the assistance of the public in investigating the shooting of a 44-year-old man at Massiah Street, St John around 8:10 a.m. today.

A media statement said police received a report that a man had received gunshot injuries.

“The male victim was walking through a track at Massiah Street, St John when he was approached by two armed men who fired shots in his direction, which resulted in him being injured. The assailants ran away from the scene. The victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance . . .,” the statement said.
