Business owners recognised for support of Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison

Business owners and organisations were awarded on Friday morning for their promotion of and contribution to Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison brand.

Among the recipients were Chattel House Tours, Heritage Teas, Lick de Bowl Tours, the Synagogue Historic District, the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry and artist Rasheed Boodhoo.

They received their certificates at the Wall Garden Theatre of the Barbados Museum, Garrison, St Michael, as part of the Division of Culture in the Prime Office’s celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Inscription of Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office with Responsibility for Culture John King, chairperson of the Barbados National Commission for UNESCO Alisandra Cummins, realtor Sir Paul Altman and businessman Eddy Abed were among those in attendance. (TG)
