Figures for July 5: Five new virus cases, 38 people in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded five new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, two females and three males, from among the 1 272 tests conducted on Monday, July 5.

There are currently 38 people in isolation.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases reported from the start of the pandemic have reached 4 096 – 1 985 females and 2 111 males. Forty-seven people have succumbed to the viral illness.

To date, 189 983 tests have been carried out by the public health laboratory.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 95 528 people have received first doses of the vaccine, while 71 494 people have been given second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
