17 new COVID cases for second consecutive day

Seventeen COVID-19 cases, eight males and nine females, were identified from 1 203 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Wednesday, July 14.

There are currently 116 people in isolation.

Total confirmed cases of COVID-19 stand at 4 230 (2 048 females and 2 182 males) since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. There were 48 deaths.

To date, the public health laboratory has carried out 198 083 tests.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 96 990 people received first doses of the vaccine. Additionally, 72 894 were given second doses and are fully vaccinated. This number represents 26.9 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
