Explore! Children’s Gallery launched at Barbados Museum

Barbados can now boast of the first interactive children’s gallery with the launch of Explore! Children’s Gallery at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, The Garrison, St Michael earlier today.

The project was launched in partnership with The Maria Holder Memorial Trust and was completed with the input and assistance of professional educators and child psychologists, as well as parent representatives and their children.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Senator Dr Romel Springer said Explore! is expected to engage and fascinate children as it is set to make learning interactive and fun.

“The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training looks forward to seeing our children by their thousands benefit from the use of this new facility which will include specially developed programming activities to engage our nation’s future generations. We encourage all parents and guardians to bring their children to visit this learning and play opportunity,” he said.

The gallery will allow children to understand the world around them, but through a Barbadian lens. (RA)
