Attorney Vonda Pile has lost her appeal against her sentence and conviction.

As a result, she will have to serve the three years she got for stealing client Anstie King’s US$96 000 given to her to purchase land between 2009 and 2010.

The Court of Appeal today dismissed the grounds brought by her defence team led by Andrew Pilgrim, QC.

Principle Crown Counsel Krystal Delaney, Senior Crown Counsel Oliver Thomas and Crown Counsel Kevin Forde appeared for the Crown.

President of the Court, Justice of Appeal Rajendra Narine and Justices of Appeal Francis Belle and Jefferson Cumberbatch affirmed her sentence and ordered that she serve the remainder of her sentence from today. (HLE)
