UPDATE: Girl reunited with mother

Police said the girl who was taken to the Holetown Police Station in St James by a public service vehicle operator (PSV) earlier today has been reunited with her mother, who is presently at the police station.

Additionally, police are investigating the circumstances of this matter.

According to police, the PSV operator said the girl boarded the bus in the area of Speightstown, St Peter and the minibus was travelling towards Bridgetown.

The Royal Barbados Police Force expressed gratitude to those who assisted.
