Contrary to a report carried in a section of the media yesterday, the Springer Memorial School is one of the 22 secondary schools being utilised as examination centres, for students writing the Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Examination (BSSEE).

Students of the following primary schools are therefore advised to report to the Government Hill, St Michael institution tomorrow, Wednesday, July 28, as was originally communicated: Belmont Primary, Charles F. Broome Primary, Saanma Junior and High School, Happy Vale Montessori School, Warrens Primary and Lite Preschool and Primary School.

Meanwhile, parents/guardians are reminded to ensure that their children arrive at the assigned examinations centres early (at least by 8:30 a.m.) to allow them to settle well ahead of the 9 a.m. start. It is scheduled to end at 1:15 p.m.

In addition, they should make sure that their children have extra face masks, hand sanitizer and light snacks, along with water and or juice. Those with medical conditions should have their medication with them.

No unauthorised people will be permitted to enter the compounds of these centres. Therefore, parents/guardians should bring their children to the gate on arrival, and collect them from said location, which will be manned by personnel. The established COVID-19 protocols will be observed. (BGIS)
