The Swim 4 Life programme has been postponed until further notice.

The programme, which offers swimming lessons to children between the age 6 and 16, scheduled to begin on August 4, 2021 at 6 venues across the island.

“Out of abundance of caution and as authorities aim to lower the number of COVID-19 cases, this decision was taken – in order to ensure the safety of registered children, swim instructors and monitors,” a release from the National Sports Council said.

Swim 4 Life is a joint programme by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Blue Economy, the National Sports Council and the National Conservation Commission.

The public, parents and guardians will be notified of a new start date. (PR/SAT)
