11 more COVID cases

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases – five females and six males – from 1 440 tests carried out on Friday, July 30.

There are currently 113 people in isolation.

Since the start of the pandemic, there were 4 90 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2 133 females and 2 257 males). Forty-eight people died from the virus.

The Laboratory conducted 703 tests since February 2020.

Public health officials administered 99 695 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines as part of the National Vaccination Programme. A total of 76 247 people received second doses and are fully vaccinated. These individuals represent 28.1 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
