A beaver-trick by Barbadian Chris Husbands highlighted a successful Tuesday afternoon for Caribbean jockeys as they won all but one of the eight races at Fort Erie Race Track in Ontario, Canada.

Husbands won astride A I Initiative and Easy Weekend before combining with Barbadian trainer Desmond Maynard, who got a brace with Leonard’s Bay and Jack Beanstalk.

Other Caribbean winners were Trinidadian Emile Ramsammy on It’snicetobenice, Jamaican Kirk Johnson with Frat Party and Guyanese Sunny Singh aboard Dot’s Vision.

Husbands began his winning streak by guiding six-year-old bay gelding A I Initiative to a come-from-behind one-length victory in a Claiming one mile and 70-yard distance event in 1:43.76 minutes.  (LY)
