11 new OVID cases on Tuesday

Eleven new cases of COVID-19, five males and six females, were identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The facility conducted 1 081 tests on Tuesday, August 10.

The number of people in isolation is 106.

A total of 4 496 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2 184 females and 2 312 males) have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. Forty-eight people died from the viral illness.

The public health laboratory carried out 233 008 tests since February last year.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 100 698 people have received first doses of the vaccine, while 82 088 persons (30.3 per cent of the population) were given second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
