Double cycling gold for Barbados

Barbadian cyclists Joshua Kelly and Amber Joseph covered themselves in glory yesterday when they won gold medals on the opening day of the Caribbean Cycling Championships’ Road Race in the Dominican Republic.

Kelly, who has been training in Belgium this year, won the men’s 90-kilometre race in one hour, 53.31 minutes while England-based Joseph triumphed in the women’s 60-kilometre race in one hour, 28.30 minutes from Cuba’s Aylena Quevedo. (Nation Sports)
