Daniel Akeem Hurley was fined $11 000 for illegal possession of ammunition by the No 4 Supreme Court yesterday.

Hurley, of 2nd Avenue, Peterkin Land, Bank Hall, St Michael, had admitted having eight rounds of .32-calibre ammunition on October 14, 2018.

He was represented by attorney Desmond Sands, while Crown Counsel Keith Robertson and Crown Counsel Kevin Forde appeared for the prosecution.

Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell told the first-time offender she had determined that his case was one with exceptional circumstances where a custodial sentence should not be imposed. (HLE)
