No causal link has been found between COVID-19 vaccines administered here and three deaths being investigated by the Adverse Effects Following Immunisation Committee (AEFIC).

So said Chief Medical Officer Dr Kenneth George, who told the Weekend Nation that while investigations were ongoing, the committee did not find evidence linked to the vaccines.

He added that the three people also had severe complications.

AstraZeneca, the vaccine most used in Barbados, has been linked to rare blood clot disorders globally, which resulted in several European countries briefly pausing its roll-out earlier this year. (CLM)
