Cricket lovers will soon know if there will be a domestic season in 2021.
Days after the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) announced the cancellation of local club cricket, the decision could soon be reversed.
The move comes following successful talks among BCA officials, Minister of Sports Dwight Sutherland and the Ministry of Health.
On Tuesday night, BCA president Conde Riley said they also met with the COVID Monitoring Unit to hash out protocols, and the Board could deliver a decision as early as today.
Last Friday, the BCA abandoned the season out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic on the island.
However, the turn of events is welcomed news to players, coaches and officials who were frustrated with the cancellation.
