One man was pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) earlier today.

Police public relations officer, acting inspector Rodney Inniss, confirmed the death. He said details remained sketchy, but lawmen were at the QEH speaking with medical personnel.

Inniss said police were also on the scene of a shooting incident at Risk Road, St James. They received several reports after 11 a.m. and were trying to verify information.

A Nation team on the ground in Risk Road said the man who was shot was taken to the QEH.

Inniss said no link could be made between the two incidents at this time as investigations were continuing. (SAT)
