One person, a 58-year-old woman, passed away from the virus yesterday after spending eight days in isolation.  She had no underlying conditions and was unvaccinated. Her death brings the number of casualties from COVID-19 to 49.

There are currently 230 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4 931 confirmed cases of the viral illness (2 418 females and 2 513 males) since March last year.
