The Cave Hill Law Society is giving law students a leg up.

On Thursday, immediate past president 2020-2021 Quincy Jones presented third year student Leanne Earle a scholarship worth $500 in the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus Faculty of Law.

“The theme for our academic year is ‘We Love Law’. During Law week in February and as part of our 50th anniversary , we identified three students – Earle, Regina Sealy and Nikivea Olliviere to give scholarships to.

“The students had to apply and were selected by a panel. The requirements were maintaining a grade point average of more than 3.0 and being active in our events, such as debating, mooting, attending lectures or in our talent shows,” he said.

Jones said Earle was the first recipient and the others would be awarded next week. He said they would also be presenting their 50th anniversary award to Gabrielle Gay. This award is given to students who excel in humanitarian work. (CA)
