Six years for torching house

Convicted manslayer Terry Cassius Seale was ordered to serve six years in prison for torching the house of his former girlfriend, whom he had previously confessed to unlawfully killing.

The arson sentence was handed down by Justice Randall Worrell in the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday.

Seale, 58, a tractor operator, of Groves Crescent, St George, had pleaded guilty to damaging Moreta Forde’s house by fire on October 31, 2013.

Forde was a corporate specialist at LIME and Seale had pleaded guilty to unlawfully killing her sometime between October 30 and 31, 2013. Justice Jacqueline Cornelius jailed him for 18 years in 2018 but he has since appealed that sentence.
