Fogging Schedule September 13-17

Districts in St Lucy and St James will be targeted when the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness carries out its fogging exercise this week.

On Monday, September 13, the team will spray the following areas: Cave Hill, Air View, Ursula Caddell-Sobers Drive, Little Bay Road, Cove Bay Road, Pie Corner, Well Road, and environs.

The next day, Tuesday, September 14, it will focus its attention on St Clements, Rock Field Road, Lowlands Road, Rock Field Tenantry, Bishops, Coconut Hall, Spring Hall, Chance Hall, and surrounding areas.

The Unit will fog Josey Hill, Free Hill Road, Mount View, Alleynedale Road, Lamberts, and neighbouring districts on Wednesday, September 15.

On Thursday, September 16, it will visit Jemmotts Road, Rock Hall Drive No.1 and No.2, Durham Drive, Church Hill, Mount Gay Village, Pickering, Cottage, Alexander and environs.

The exercise will conclude for the week on Friday, September 17, in the parish of St. James. The team will target Hibiscus Drive, Rock Dundo, Turtle Back Ridge, Spring Head Road, Sion Hill Terrace 1st, 2nd and 3rd avenues and neighbouring districts.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors so that the spray can enter.

Members of the public are asked to note that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time. (BGIS)
