Parents urged to get kids vaccinated

Parents are being asked to consider allowing their children to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Paediatrician Professor Anne St John made that plea yesterday at Westbury Primary School in St Michael where she volunteered with the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme to assist the mobile unit in its continuing community drive.

She said although children under 12 were not yet approved for the jab, the Pfizer vaccine was deemed suitable for those over that age.

“In the office, I try to approach with discretion whether the family has been vaccinated and I try to encourage people to see the positives about vaccinations for their children and themselves . . .  (TG)
