‘Steady flow’ at pop-ups

Health officials were pleased with the number of people who turned out to get vaccinated over the weekend.

They are encouraging more Barbadians to consider taking the jab against COVID-19 for the safety of their families.

“I think the efforts are going very well. I am pleased with the turnout this morning because we are having a steady flow. And that is the same as yesterday [Saturday] when I visited Bonnetts, Brittons Hill and Heroes Square,” said co-coordinator of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, Dr Elizabeth Ferdinand, yesterday at Brandons Beach, St Michael, one of the pop-up sites.

Hundreds were also vaccinated at Brownes Beach and Harbour Industrial Park in St Michael as well as at North Stars Cricket Club in Crab Hill, St Lucy. (TG)
