Five homes affected by fire

Two houses were destroyed and three damaged in an afternoon fire at Eastmond Land, Brittons Hill, St Michael.

The one bedroom wooden home of Velda Payne, 84, was razed to the ground and 52-year-old Junior Williams also lost his two bedroom house.

Three others sustained damage in the 2:30 p.m. fire.

Two fire tenders under the control of Division Officer Mayers, Station officers Bourne and Cadogan and 12 fire officers responded to the blaze.

Police investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
