A student who allegedly struck two women with his car and then allegedly attacked them with a cutlass was remanded to prison when he appeared in District “A” Traffic Court yesterday.

Ivorii Michael Durwood Grosvenor, 20, of Valley Development, St George, was not required to plead to two counts of unlawfully, maliciously or recklessly engaging in conduct, on October 1, which placed Alexandria Oneale, as well as Zara Barker, in danger of death or serious bodily harm.

He was also accused of assaulting Oneale and Barker, occasioning them actual bodily harm and having a cutlass – an offensive weapon – in his possession on Bay Street, also on October 1.

Prosecutor Constable Ralph Rollock asked the court to allow the assault and offensive weapon charges to remain indictable as they arose from the same circumstances. (HLE)
