COVID-19 death toll rises to 106

Health authorities reported late on Wednesday that two Barbadian women have died from complications related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

A 50-year-old died while in primary isolation at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility, and a 73-year-old died in the Accident & Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Both were unvaccinated.

The number of deaths from the viral illness is now 106.
