Flash-flood warning in effect

A flash-flood warning is in effect for western and south western districts of Barbados until 6 p.m.

A flash-flood warning is issued when rapid flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.

Maximum rainfall accumulations of 25 to 40mm in heavy showers are expected across southwestern, western and some central districts.

The warning will be terminated at 6 p.m. or sooner if conditions warrant. (PR/SAT)
