No one interacting with Celestine Isadora Edey would believe she is 100 years old.

The sprightly centenarian lives in Longford Place, Waterford, St Michael, and still tends to her garden and sews. In fact, she still does work for a nearby funeral home.

Edey, a former seamstress, has five children, ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as a great-great-grandchild.

She was married to James Edey for 51 years before his passing in 1994 at age 75. A devout Anglican, she attended All Souls Anglican Church before COVID-19 forced her to remain at home.
