Two people were injured in a collision involving a car and a Transport Board bus along Bay Street, St Michael around 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

The driver of the car and an elderly passenger on the bus, both males, were treated by ambulance personnel at the scene and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The driver of the Transport Board bus, Dwayne Jordan, told Nation News he was making the 4 p.m. City Circle trip and was stationary in heavy traffic when the head-on collision occurred near the wall leading to St Paul Anglican Church.

He was thankful the bus wasn’t moving at the time “because it could have been worse”.

Police officers were on the scene. (SAT)
