Andre Omar Jackman, Kaeron Sylvian Moore and Shane Hakeem Omar Babb have asked the court to be lenient in sentencing them.
Jackman, alias “Lord Evil” or “Punchies”, 43, of Stroud Bay; Moore, 35, also of Stroud Bay; and Babb, 35, of Ellis Road, Crab Hill, all in St Lucy, were convicted in August of using a firearm while not having a licence to do so on September 30, 2018. Moore and Babb were found guilty of damaging a house belonging to Chrisandra Greaves on the same date.
The prosecution team of Senior Crown Counsel Neville Watson and Senior Crown Counsel Rudolph Burnett have asked for life sentences, while the defence, comprising Michael Lashley QC for Jackman, attorney Shadia Simpson for Moore, and attorney Verla De Peiza for Babb, have asked for sentences beginning at 12 years.
Speaking in the No. 3 Supreme Court before Justice Carlisle Greaves on Tuesday, Jackman maintained his innocence during a 25-minute submission. (RA)
