Accused must get scabies clearance

DAVIDSON CLETUS JOSEPH will not be allowed back into the court unless he has a medical certificate clearing him of scabies.

This was the order given by Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes, as he questioned where was the medical documentation clearing Joseph to attend court when the accused appeared before him in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

“I understand the police may be operating under the concept of ‘let us free him from around us and let the court deal with it’,” he noted.

“But the police should have sought some advice in terms of what they were going to do. Up to now nobody can’t answer any of my questions yet. It’s not the prosecutor’s fault, but the people who brought him don’t seem to be able to answer a lot of questions.” (HLE)
