Barbados Labour Party candidate for St Michael North West, Neil Rowe, is confident he will retain his seat come January 19.

Rowe arrived at the nomination centre at The Ellerslie School shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday with a stream of supporters clad in red, who began a walk from the Black Rock Main Road and up St Stephen’s Hill.

Following the hour-long process, which was led by returning officer Charles Haynes, Rowe told the media he was confident heading into the General Election.

“I feel confident because of my stewardship just over the last three years within the constituency of St Michael North West. I feel confident because of the amount of things I have done and completed within this constituency just over the last three years. I feel confident because my representation within this constituency was fair and equal.”

Rowe said his aim was to return to Parliament with the Barbados Labour Party Government, and Mia Mottley at the helm.

“Our aim as a Government is to keep Barbados safe and the people safe, and to continue to create opportunities for the people who we serve, and I feel very confident about it,” he said. (RA)
