Man charged with assaulting BLP’s Liz Thompson

A man has been charged with assaulting former ambassador and Barbados Labour Party spokesperson Liz Thompson following an accident on Friday.

Akanni David Akil Brathwaite, 27, is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm to Constable Kemar White and resisting the officer during the incident.

The Union Park, St Philip man, who is represented by Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley, is expected in court this morning to answer the charges. (AC)
