The Barbados senior men’s national football team will continue their preparation for the 2022 Concacaf Nations League with two international friendlies this weekend against Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.

The Tridents will oppose the Soca Warriors on Friday at 7 p.m. at the 23 000-seater stadium and then take on Guyana’s Golden Jaguars on Sunday at the same time.

Trinidad and Tobago will then take on their South American rivals on March 29 to complete the tri-nation series marketed as the Courts Caribbean Classic.

The Bajans will be led in the twin-island republic by assistant coach Fitzgerald Carter in the absence of head coach and former Trinidad and Tobago international star Russell Latapy.

As a result, Latapy will miss the chance to coach the Tridents against the side for whom he played from 1988 to 2009 and coached from 2009 to 2011 and again in 2017.  (NM)
