Man succumbs to stab wounds

A 56-year old man was fatally stabbed after an incident at Garden Land, Country Road, St Michael earlier this morning.

He was subsequently identified as Herbert DaCosta Callender, 56, of St Barnabas Heights.

According to the Barbados Police Service, a report was made to the District A Police station around 5:05 a.m.

After the incident, the victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said their investigations are ongoing and made an appeal for more information.

“Investigations are still continuing in this matter and anyone who can provide any information to assist with the investigations should call District A Police Station at 430-7242 or 430-7246, police emergency 211 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-TIPS,” the police statement said.
