Barbados again honoured its fallen soldiers this morning with military discipline and precision.
The annual Remembrance Day Parade and Interdenominational Service took place in National Heroes Square, The City, in a ceremony which ensured the island never forgets those who fought and died in the two world wars.
Members of the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), Barbados Police Service, Barbados Fire Service, Barbados Prison Service, Barbados Boy Scouts Association and the Girl Guides Association of Barbados joined the Barbados Legion in the solemn ceremony, which included wreaths laid by President The Most Honourable Jeffrey Bostic, Acting Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw, BDF Chief of Staff Brigadier Carlos Lovell and Commissioner of Police Sonia Boyce.
As special guests watched from under tents, spectators lined the boardwalk to view the military and paramilitary forces dressed in their formal gear. After the ceremony, the military personnel marched through Bridgetown. (CA)
