Attorneys for both sides will address the jury today when the gun importation trial of Emil Bernard Williams resumes in the No. 3 Supreme Court.

Williams, 44, of Elizabeth Park, Christ Church, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of importing four firearms – a 7.62-Russian calibre automatic rifle, a .38-Special calibre revolver, a 9mm-calibre Luger semi-automatic firearm and a .40-calibre Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol, as well as 103 rounds of assorted ammunition – all on April 17, 2012.

The accused further pleaded not guilty to the charges that he conspired with others, on April 17, 2012, to import the four firearms and that he conspired with others to import the 103 rounds of ammunition without a valid licence to do so on April 17, 2012.

He is represented by Queen’s Counsel Andrew Pilgrim and attorney Martie Garnes, while State Counsel Romario Straker is prosecuting. (HLE)
